NBA Star Brandon Jennings bought out a movie theater in Culver City last night in support of “Straight Outta Compton,” the #1 film in the US. The event, which was put on by The Brand Group LA was held at The Bridge – Cinemark Theatre.
Jennings spoke before the screening started. He gave thanks to Miss Diddy and everyone that came out to support. Being a Compton Native himself, he spoke on the importance of the film and what it means for the city.
“I’m from the City of Compton, this is very important to me, and to my City,” said the NBA star. “This is one of our first films for Compton specifically and I’m proud to support it, so I bought this whole Mutha Effa Out.”
Other Compton natives and public figures such as Malaysia Pargo, star of Baskeball Wives LA (BBWLA), Recording Artist, Eric Bellinger and LA Ambassador/ Super Promoter Miss Diddy (who represents Jennings through her company The Brand Group.) Brandon also thanked Marc Rose who played 2Pac in the film for coming out and supporting his viewing event.
